The following chart is ppm (parts per million) of CO2 in the atmosphere. This is a primary driver of the warming. Note, however, if we stopped the CO2 rise on a dime, the earth would need about 30 years to catch up.
The amount of ice in the Arctic is close to zero at the end of summer, and will be soon. The more ice disappears, the less sunshine is reflected at albedo near 95%. Thus, unless we do some pretty good magic, the expectation is that the planet will become ice-free over time. That has several tipping points possible.
